Andrew After 15 years on the Prairies we know how to handle the cold now. Actually, this will come back to haunt me in March but I prefer Prairie winters to winters I've spent on the East coast, Vancouver or the UK. Yes, it's a dry cold and you can actually enjoy winter when it's not so cold. Cheers PD
Hang on to that cold air! If you let go it might wander east. A couple of weeks of damp minus double digits had been enough for me. Bring on the rain! (I think I'm acclimatizing)

Dear God, that's as cold as anything I experienced in Medicine Hat. The coldest it's gotten in SW Ontario these last few weeks is -15 but as the missus remarked yesterday, the cold here is nasty, wet, bone-seeping cold that makes us wish we were back on the prairies. Stay warm and good luck with your course prep. My semester starts today, but as a lowly grad student all I have to do is go to class, look attentive, and say the odd interesting thing.
